Rundle Riders a Note on coVID-19

Rundle Riders 2018

 March 24, 2020

Dear Participant Families and Volunteers

Like all of you, RRTRA has been monitoring the evolving impact of COVID-19.

We are reaching out to update you on how we, and our partners, are adjusting to this very serious situation.

On March 19th, YMCA Calgary made the decision to cancel all groups until at least the end of May. The Alberta Equestrian Foundation has also recommended that, for the time being, stables and lesson barns cease public-facing and non-essential activities.

The health and safety of our participant families and volunteers, our loved ones, and our community is of primary importance to the RRTRA. For this reason, and in support of YMCA Calgary, we are cancelling the spring program (May-June).

At this point, YMCA Calgary are still planning to run their summer program. Likely in May, the RRTRA Board will reassess the situation and make a decision about our summer program (July-August).

We thank you for your understanding and patience as we all navigate through this together. Please continue to follow the advice of your local health authorities and stay well. For the most current information, please go to www.alberta.ca/coronavirus.

Sincerely,

The Rundle Riders Therapeutic Riding Association Board of Directors
